Professor at the Federal Institute of São Paulo (IFSP) — Computing
Researcher in machine learning, natural language processing & text embeddings, with a background in space geophysics and electrical engineering.
About
I am a professor in the computing area at the Federal Institute of São Paulo (IFSP). My current work centers on applied machine learning and natural language processing — in particular text-embedding models and benchmarks for Brazilian Portuguese. I hold a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Space Geophysics from INPE and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from UFSM, and my research has spanned solar physics, space weather, and data-driven modelling.
